Most Commonly Stretch-Wrapped Products

One of the most effective and cost-efficient ways of ensuring a safe transport of consumer-products is to stretch wrap the products. Whether the products are beings wrapped using machine or hand, companies and manufacturers use stretch wraps all over the world.

Following are some of the most commonly stretch-wrapped products:

Boxes

A large part of all retail products that are traded throughout the globe are often bulk-packed in corrugated boxes, says a leading manufacturer of pouch packing machine Mumbai. Once these boxes are filled, then they are further palletized to be shipped.

The type of stretch-film that will be used will depend on two factors- how the stretch-wrap is to be applies, and overall weight of the palletized load.

Barrels

Barrels are manufactured from different types of materials and it comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Common palletized loads include four barrels of 55 gallons each which can be filled up with all sorts of goods including liquids, chemicals, grains, and many others, suggest the marketing head of liquid packing machine manufacturer.

Most of the pallet loads that contain barrels are usually heavy. Pertaining to the weight of most palletized-barrels, these are usually shrink wrapped with a thicker premium film.

Furniture

Furniture that are unused or out of factory are often stretch-wrapped for transit from the factory to the retailer. A lot of furniture pieces don’t fit on the pallet and are therefore shipped individually. The stretch-wrap that’s used for wrapping the new furniture is usually used to give exterior protection to the furniture during transport.
